The next “What To Do Now In Your Garden” class will be held on Saturday, August 5, 10:00 a.m. at the Morgan Hill Community Garden at 15690 Railroad Avenue in Morgan Hill. Everyone in the community is welcome to attend.

Topics to be covered are:
– Successes and challenges gardeners are having now.
– Demonstration beds: Ambrosia cantaloupes, sunflowers, succession planting, crop rotation, potatoes, peppers, sweet potatoes, broccoli, beans, zinnias, onions, shallots, and maybe more!
– Deadheading.
– Harvesting.
– Summer irrigation.
– Preparation to plant crops and seeds in September and October. Includes soil, seed starting, uppotting, space in the garden, etc.
– Using cover crop to improve your soil. Switching back to a cool season mix.
– Meet and talk with fellow gardeners.

Class will be held rain or shine, hot or cold and will be led by Patrick Day, UCCE Santa Clara County Master Gardener.
